I've been thinking lately that it is kind of heartbreaking that my son will miss out on a person that could be a huge part of his life. I guess circumstances prevent a relationship between them, but I still think its sad. He never did anything to miss out on the love he could give or receive from this person. :( Decisions we make as adults really do affect our kids, don't they?

What's the haps?
Well, I realized I haven't updated in like a whole year(not that I have any followers). Since the last time I posted, we moved back to Eugene! YAY! We are renting a spectacular house from one of my best friends, Estri. She and her little family (Eric, Thera and baby in her tummy) moved to Hawaii! So, we are in this huge 4 bedroom ginormous house with a humungous back yard. Pug dog gets to be outside and run around with out being all tied up. He also has a new friend, Pepper the lab/rot mix puppy we recently adopted. We are saving for a swing set for the kids too. We have a room mate but EJ is awesome and we love his face.
Lily started at Irving Elementary and we found out that she is way behind in reading and math... Way to go Centennial for telling me she was at the same level as everyone else! So, first grade was kind of a struggle for her. Hopefully 2nd grade won't be as difficult. Right now she is in a summer school program to help her get to where she needs to be for 2nd grade. If she continues to struggle, they will most likely test for learning disabilities.
Chris also moved back to the Eugene area so that it would be easier for Lily to go back and forth. Right now our arrangement is that during vacation times, he has her all week and I have her on the weekends and during regular school year time I have her all week and he has her every weekend. I am glad we have a cooperative relationship and have worked out something that is effective!
Cain is growing like a weed and is taller than any of his friends at LCC child center. He has been going there for about 2 months and loves it. It has been really good for his speech too. He is talking in more complex sentences and learning new words everyday. His health has been great for the most part this spring and summer which is very nice.
I had a set back with my schooling that put me back a term for graduation, but I am still on track and not completely derailed. I decided that this year I am going to take the winter term off because that seems to be the time when Cain is the most sick. I am also trying to find a part of full time job, but right now its really difficult.
I am also trying to lose some weight and live a more active lifestyle. This is really hard because I have some really bad habits that need to be broken. I lost about 14lbs then regains it. I have now re-lost 6 of those 14 though. I am working out at least 2 times a week at LCCs gym and trying to eat better and control my portion sizes. Its slow work but it is happening!
I am also trying to make an honest attempt at spending more time with my adult friends. So far its a big huge fail but I am still trying! I wish I lived closer to most of the people I really relate too, but I guess driving out to Harrisburg or Elmira is worth it to see some awesome chicks.
That's all for now, all my many (haha) followers!
